Fort Wayne, IN: Courageous Healing is a grantee of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Community Catalyst Grant Program. The grant funds will support the organization's clinical program, supportive services, and overall mission to make culturally centered, trauma-informed mental health services accessible to everyone.
The Community Catalyst Grants will be provided to 37 recipients. The $54.8 million provided in these grants includes $22.3 million of local and grantee match dollars as well as $32.5 million in federal funds. The goal of these grants is to enhance the quality, integration, and access of mental health prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery services across the state.
These funding infusions are intended to build out the care continuum and improve mental health and substance use disorder outcomes for many local and diverse organizations.
“One serious, lingering result of the COVID-19 pandemic that has been widely-recognized by experts all over the country is a worsening of our mental health crisis,” said Dan Rusyniak, M.D., FSSA secretary. “This major infusion of funds, spread throughout Indiana, will provide more access to mental health care, expand the mental health workforce, and invest in our state’s mental health infrastructure.”
